Marketing Specialist

Help shape the public face of the Palisades Symphony!

The Palisades Symphony is seeking a volunteer Marketing Specialist with experience in orchestral, choral, arts, or nonprofit marketing to lead our outreach and communications efforts.

As a long-standing community orchestra offering seven free concerts each year — including major collaborations with the Brentwood Palisades Chorale and our annual Young Artist Showcase — we aim to increase our visibility across Los Angeles, expand our concert audiences, and strengthen a positive, traditional yet innovative image of the orchestra within the community.

Working closely with our Music Director, Board President, and Board of Directors, the Marketing Specialist will take the lead in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan for each concert season. This includes creating promotional materials, managing media and social outreach, engaging local partners, and helping shape the orchestra’s overall public presence.

We are looking for someone who understands the unique challenges of promoting classical music and community-based ensembles, and who brings both strategic thinking and creative energy to the role.

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute your skills to a respected Los Angeles arts organization that has offered free orchestral and choral performances since 1966, enriching lives through music and community connection.

Fundraising Specialist

Help sustain the Palisades Symphony through strategic fundraising and community support.

The Palisades Symphony is seeking a volunteer Fundraising Specialist with experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or arts fundraising.

As a volunteer-driven community orchestra presenting seven free concerts each year — including major choral collaborations and our annual Young Artist Showcase — we rely on individual contributions, sponsorships, and community partnerships to make our programs possible. We are looking for someone who can lead efforts to build donor relationships, organize fundraising campaigns, and expand our base of supporters.

Working closely with our Music Director, Board President, and Board of Directors, the Fundraising Specialist will help develop and implement strategies for annual giving, concert sponsorships, and special appeals. The goal is to increase our financial stability and visibility within the greater Los Angeles community.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting one of Los Angeles’s most respected community orchestras — an ensemble that has offered free, high-quality performances since 1966 and continues to bring people together through the power of music.

Social Media & Advertising Specialist

Help amplify the Palisades Symphony’s voice across digital platforms and inspire new audiences to join us.

The Palisades Symphony is seeking a volunteer Social Media and Advertising Specialist to strengthen our online presence and expand our audience reach through creative and consistent digital engagement.

As a community orchestra presenting seven free concerts each year, including collaborations with the Brentwood Palisades Chorale and our annual Young Artist Showcase, we are looking to connect with both long-time supporters and new generations of concertgoers through dynamic online storytelling.

Working closely with our Music Director, Board President, and Board of Directors, the Social Media & Advertising Specialist will plan and create engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, coordinate digital ad campaigns, and develop a unified visual and narrative style that reflects the orchestra’s artistry, warmth, and community spirit.

This role offers significant freedom and flexibility — the volunteer will have the creative space to shape our digital voice, propose new ideas, and experiment with innovative outreach strategies.
